Hunters do not cast harmful spells, but they do cast harmful physical attacks which can cause spell damage. Enemy players that have resistances to spell damage, such as Mages and Druids, can mitigate damage done to them by harmful spell damage attacks such as Explosive Shot, Chimera Shot and Arcane Shot, for example. Power over Ethernet, PoE, sometimes also called Power over LAN, PoL is a technique that allows power to be supplied to end devices over the Ethernet cables connecting the data. This approach of providing power over the Ethernet cable can significantly simplify installations for small devices that would require the use of an additional power supply. What's your opinion about Molten Strike dear Comrade? Cheers! | Posted by tinx9 on May 1, 2014, 9:10:30 AM |
I'm thinking about it since it was released! It seems very interesting for this build! I'm not playing atm, so I didn't have the chance to test it, but I would be very interested to see how a high level Molten Strike would work with my gear and passives. The skill is very similar to IB, but what makes it interesting is the 'projectile' mechanics keyword, which allows linking LMP and other projectile support gems. Molten Strike might do a bit more DPS, but for overall aoe clear, I'm not sure if it'll beat the great potential Infernal Blow's explosion has. I'd be thankful if someone could test this out, I'm busy atm. 1H+Shield High Block&Spell Block Tank: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/868995 Ice Crash Crit Staff AKA 'The Shaterring Karui': https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1289037 Tanky Block+AR+EV Ranger Crit Reave Dagger/Claw: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1301888 | Posted by on May 1, 2014, 8:32:38 PM |
So I tested Molten Strike myself, with the exact same gear and support gems, this is what lvl 13 Molten Shell offers dps-wise in town: My lvl 20 IB in town gives me only 200 more dps. Therefore, it seems you could quite easily swap your IB with molten shell for the same (if not a bit better) dps, but for less mana, which is a pretty big thing, actually. However, Molten Strike has smaller aoe compared to a 20q IB with 20q melee splash, so clearing really big packs will take more time, imo. Also, you lose the corspe explosion effect from IB, so it's harder against necromancers and avians (aka birds). With a different gem setup, you maybe might get even more dps with Molten Strike, though. I'm thinking maybe added fire instead of melee phys dmg. Didn't try it out unfortunately, will do next time. 1H+Shield High Block&Spell Block Tank: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/868995 Ice Crash Crit Staff AKA 'The Shaterring Karui': https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1289037 Tanky Block+AR+EV Ranger Crit Reave Dagger/Claw: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1301888 | Posted by on May 5, 2014, 9:29:45 PM |
Hello Serge, I'd like to ask: if I'm pretty poor and i don't have ST, it would be better to get a slow 1H weapon ( axe/sword ) with high physical damage to restrict the consume of mana? Checking the tree ( the first one you linked ) you're taking only 1 node which affects ASPD, so I assume you'll benefit more from a slow-but-heavy-damage weapon, is that correct? in that case, do you think that Added Fire DMG would be better then Faster Attacks? Thanks for your answer, it's really a nice build! =) | Posted by on May 8, 2014, 5:20:15 PM |
If you can't get any mana leech from gear, then yes, your best option is to get a hard hitting, slower weapon. If even that isn't enough, then yes, you can swap faster attacks with added fire, however, I'd rly recommend getting mana leech from weapon or rings or ammy or gloves :) glad you're enjoying the build! 1H+Shield High Block&Spell Block Tank: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/868995 Ice Crash Crit Staff AKA 'The Shaterring Karui': https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1289037 Tanky Block+AR+EV Ranger Crit Reave Dagger/Claw: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1301888 Last edited by ComradeSerge on May 8, 2014, 11:26:09 PM | Posted by on May 8, 2014, 11:25:43 PM |
Hi, I switched to Lioneye's and now(apparently)I'm a bit more tanky. Now, I have another question, in 70-75 lvls, is better to go for life nodes instead of block, right? I picked block ones first cuz I'm a Templar and they are quite near. On the other hand, I was thinking on pick 'Path of the Warrior' node on bottom left Scion, it is recommendable to go there? There's also near a notable node called 'Berserk' which adds 12% attack speed, what you think on go that way? This is my tree: Oh, and I forgot, this is my tree: http://www.pathofexile.com/passive-skill-tree/AAAAAgUAAdwEswUtC2EUIBRNGJEZhRo4Gmwb-h0UI00kqiXfJy8yiTbpOtg9_EA2RHJN2FBHU99VtVcNV-JYY1jbWfNfP2BLZp5uaXKpdO1253fleA15aHrvfNmExITZhO-LT4x2jM-QVZHOm4OezaC0ogCkGaSspzCnhKyqrK-0-bvtvJ--ir6nwBrBBMS4xtjM29Ih1fjjauOf5FHsOO8O8B_yL_MG8932SPcy97760vuq Gear: And I have only 28% lightning res, lol, I have to improve that. Last, I recommend you to uploading some fresh videos to show the efficiency of this build, thah don't have that much fame compared to similar ones like Lazy Pally(imho, boxsales and yours is better). That's all. Ty for remove my doubts Comrade. Last edited by tinx9 on May 17, 2014, 2:07:24 AM | Posted by tinx9 on May 17, 2014, 1:54:36 AM |
I wouldn't go for the scion life circle, since all but 1 node are nodes with 6% life. If you want more life, go for the 18% life and 8% chaos res close to the witch. Also, it seems you forgot the 8% and 12% (!) life nodes at the duelist starting area. Finally, there's 3x 6% life and 6% extra armour nodes below marauder, which is right in your reach as you're already there, so they're much better than the 6% life only nodes at scion, for which you have to spend several nodes only to get there! Berserk isn't worth it cause you'll have mana problems, unless you get a Soultaker. If you want more damage, you can pick up the 'Seasoned Sinew' inc. phys dmg with one handed weapons on your way to the 18% life at witch. The block nodes over at the templar, one of which gives 12% block as spell block, are also very nice, I would recommend going for that also. This is the tree for you then: I would recommend picking nodes in the following order: (1) 8%+12% life at duelist; (2) 6%life+6%armour below marauder; (3) block nodes at templar with spell block; (4) 18% life with chaos res nodes at witch. If you want, you can switch (3) and (4). As for the videos, I'd love to upload them, but I don't have the time, unfortunately. I will try to do it once, though. 1H+Shield High Block&Spell Block Tank: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/868995 Ice Crash Crit Staff AKA 'The Shaterring Karui': https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1289037 Tanky Block+AR+EV Ranger Crit Reave Dagger/Claw: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1301888 Last edited by ComradeSerge on May 17, 2014, 4:22:42 PM | Posted by on May 17, 2014, 4:20:55 PM |
